I thought you might enjoy watching a timelapse of my process for creating the artwork for “Swords.” There are some things I really enjoy about working with digital media, the ability to export a timelapse at the click of a button.
I am using Infinite Painter on a Samsung Tab6 with an S-pen. I like to set up a layer for the beginning sketch (in red) which I can move/view as I’m rendering the background to keep things in perspective, and later trace for the final subject. Very handy!
As a traditional artist learning digital, it is wild to me how digital has made so many of our bulky tools and processes so easily accessible inside an app. It will never be a substitute for learning the craft and gaining mastery with traditional media, but it sure is nice for creating artworks that translate well into the digital sphere, or for publication.
