Today I wanted to share how to add highlights to a charcoal sketch with additive and reductive techniques.

In this video, I am using the following:

  • Coffee beans from my local roastery

  • Strathmore 400 Toned Tan paper, 9x12 inches

  • General’s 4B soft charcoal pencil

  • White chalk

  • Flat tip paintbrush

  • Music from William Agosto’s YouTube channel because it’s awesome
